Topps Finest debuted in August of 2012 and again features two mini-boxes, with 6 packs per mini box. Each pack contained 5 cards per pack.

The set expands from 2010/2011's 125 up to 150, featuring 100 veterans and 50 rookies. 2012 also introduces the Prism Refractor as an unnumbered replacement for the Xfractor as the next tier Refractor type.

Inserts again return with 25 card sets of Finest Atomic Rookies and Finest Moments. Atomic Rookies include parallel Gold /25, Red /10, and Superfractors /1. Moments feature a parallel Refractor type as well as autographed Pulsar /10 and Superfractors /1. A new insert set celebrating #1 overall pick Andrew Luck is named Lucky Cuts and includes a base version, Patch /25, and autographed Superfractor /1.

Other big hits include the sophomore set of 36 Rookie Autograph variations which feature on card autographs with alternate player poses. This includes a Refractor /20, Red /15, Pulsar /10, and Superfractor /1. Finest Rookie Patch Autographs and Jumbo Jersey Autographs round out the rest of the product offering.
