Initially a 150-card set whose checklist received a bump up to 151 when Brett Favre came back from a short retirement, Finest was released on September 17, 2008. Cards 1-100 depict veteran players , 101-150 short printed rookies, and an unannounced short print of Brett Favre as 151.

This release suffers from a muddled Refractor deployment. No regular refractor versions exist of the base set, with the Blue Refractor functioning as the first parallel. Main set rookies are all refractors with a print run of /699. No parallel Brett Favre cards exist. Sets are further confused by the Blue Refractor set featuring Blue Xfractor rookies with a lower print run.

In addition to the 50 card Finest Moments set also comes Tom Brady and Adrian Peterson themed Finest Moments sets each with 16 cards. Featured hits include autographed rookies, an autographed Brett Favre base /25, and autographed Finest Moments.
