Gale Sayers

1994 Bears Toyata trading card. Given to fans attending the game at Soldier Field with the Chicago Bears facing off against the Green Bay Packers on Halloween night.

At halftime the Bears retired the jerseys of Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus in front of a crowd of 47,381. Unfortunately this was the highlight of the day. 44-degree temperatures, 35+ mph winds, and over 2 inches of rainfall contributed to terrible field conditions. Passing was already difficult and the Packers in the 1st and 3rd quarters and the Bears in the 2nd and 4th quarters had to go into the wind as the Packers defeated the Bears 33-6.
